See, I won't assume that this is what Bradley thinks. I'm more inclined to think that using this issue to change the subject is something he finds expedient.
Here's another anecdote for you all.
At the post office this morning I was next in line when I overturn the postal clerk explain to the customer ahead of me that he had offered something other than the lowest available postal rate to some previous customer because that for 5 cents more their parcel could arrive sooner and that he "wasn't trying to jew him out of a nickel."
I'm Jewish. I also have a pretty pragmatic attitude about this shit. But I get to go through life listening to this stuff from people that never consider the presence of Jews in their midst.
Now I don't think that as an American Jew I've known the oppression that African-Americans grow up with but I'm pretty sure that most black people no longer have to listen to such casual, offhand bigotry spoken as though it were the most benign thing in the world to say.
Some times I think I'd just prefer to be called a kike by those with the balls and the motivation to stand up and be proud of the neandertals they really are. On the other hand, I'd rather bigots out themselves and I'm guessing if I wore a yarmulke I'd be less aware of who these assholes are.
