He did it to get Peavy. That's what all evidence points to. The Pads wanted pitching prospects. Hendry went and got some. Somehow the deal got fucked, and we got stuck with no DeRosa and no Peavy. <b>Now DeRosa is a Cardinal and Peavy is a White Sock</b>.

I don't think<i> anyone</i> would have believed you if, last December, you would have predicted that. Unfortunate turn of events, to be sure.
I really hope our playoff chances don't come down to being one game down to the Cards in the standings, because there will be a tremendous amount of second-guessing about what went on last off-season.
It's going to be a good race to October. We got slaughtered tonight, but I think we're a pretty good team. In fact, I really think we'll play pretty good ball the rest of the way. I'm just worried that the Cards will also play well.

There's nothing better than to realize that the good things about youth don't end with youth itself. It's a matter of realizing that life can be renewed every day you get out of bed without baggage. It's tough to get there, but it's better than the dark thoughts. -Lance
