From everything I had heard Cashner was basically a fastball-slider guy built for the pen, so yeah it's surprising to me too. He must have another pitch or two that I'm not aware of. I wonder what his fastball velocity is like as a starter, I'd guess the 93-96 mph range.

At his age, he should be in MLB if he's dominating. We desperately need a reliever. Why not him?
