Soriano takes the cake for dumbest Hendry move ever.

Easily. It was pretty to see at the time that there was no way the latter half of the deal would be even remotely acceptable. With Bradley, there was a chance he put together a couple years like he had in Texas. It was only 2/20 or 3/30.

Vintage SOI...
Not one of you had a problem with the signing when it was made, and not one of you had anything to say when Soriano was on fire in April and May.
Enough with your wisdom.

Care to go find the Soriano signing thread? I think you will find there were SEVERAL of us who were unhappy with the deal.
<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
You go find it, Ace...
Then go find all the other threads where you took a position, were proved wrong, and never, ever mentioned it again.
FYI...when all you do is shit on every move that's made, you're going to be right from time to time.

Welcome back Rapp, glad you could come back and take a dump on board. I remember that there were many of us who weren't happy about the Soriano signing. I was one that was against it all the way. My main point was that it was ignorant to sign someone whose only attribute was speed and power to a ridiculously expensive deal into his late 30s. Speed and power are the two attributes that usually deteriorate after age 32. My argument was also based on his pathetic defense, because at the time we were planning on placing him in CF. Regardless of how happy anyone was it was a stupid, shortsighted singing and Hendry should suffer the repercussions. And I'm not even a Hendry basher.

If Alf pulls it together for the last couple of months...plays the way he did in April and May...will you still be prepared to say the same thing?
A little consistency in opinion shouldn't be that difficult to generate.
