I'd be all for busting this team up and starting anew with Ricketts. That said, we have very few valuable pieces considering we overpaid many of the Veterans. I'd rank our top 5 in trade value (ML only) as the following:
1. Soto
Huge drop-off
2. Marmol
3. Lilly
4. Marshall
5. Wells
Due to the market of baseball, very few teams are brining in $10+ Million players. So, I'm sure we'd get 50 cents on the dollar for Zambrano and Lilly. Z makes #1 starter money $17.75 - 19.25 million through 2013, I really can't see us getting much of anything for him unless we eat a portion of that money.
And the following guys we are stuck with until their contract ends.
