I went to a Tigers game about three years ago. We parked about three blocks away, and I shit you not -- we walked past three blocks of boarded up, condemned high-rise crack houses to get to the park. Not a single usable building. It was awe-inspiring.

Downtown Detroit is deserted during the week at 3 in the afternoon...what does that tell you?
