Both are ranked 13th out of 16 teams in the national league, so yeah, awful.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->
I'm not saying either have been good, my point was that the bullpen has shown improvement and the offense hasn't and it's about a 100% sure thing the defense will suck all year.

The D looked pretty good last night. Did you see that play The Riot made in the hole? And it was good to see Geo come in and throw out the Braves new speedster without even being warmed up. And yeah, I thought he WAS out.

One good game defensively and a couple of good plays doesn't negate the fact that the Cubs everyday lineup, when healthy, is clearly in bottom tier of defensive clubs out there. If they hit like they should, it probably wouldn't matter, but their bats currently aren't making up for any defensive miscues.

So when healthy, where are the holes? Bradley has been pretty good in right, Soriano makes up for his bad routes with speed and a great arm, Theriot and Fontenot are good up the middle. If Soto's shoulder would heal up he'd be able to throw out more runners, and he still calls a good game, DLee is great at first Reed/Fuk play great in Center/A-Ram is pretty good as far as third basemen go and he makes up for any miscues he has.
I think you were making your "the defense sucks argument" based on two plays from two days ago. [hoping that the stats back up my argument, too lazy to check]
