The Cubs offense hasn't really been all that terrible outside of the 8 game losing streak. Not counting those 8 games, they've averaged 4.9 runs per game... as much as they scored last nght which seemed to be sufficient for you since you didn't blame the loss on the offense.

I blamed the loss last night on the defense, numbnuts. Mostly because, it was the 100% reason the Cubs lost. I'm also not wrong about the bullpen, it has shown signs of improvement. Coming into the game last night, they hadn't given up a run in 15 innings, that's pretty damn good. Had the defense made 2 easy plays last night, that streak would still be going. Don't let facts get in the way buddy.
Also, if you don't think the Cubs offense has been terrible, I don't know what to tell you. The Cubs have played 50 games, and 19 times (~40%) they've scored 3 runs or fewer.
