He batted right-handed his first at bat yesterday, for some reason switched. Maybe he's hurting or something.

I'm just surprised a reason hasn't been given, since Len and Bob were going on about it during yesterday's game.

Len and Bob said tonight that he has had surgery (I'm not sure how recently) on his left shoulder. And since the front shoulder is more important, it is more comfortable for him to bat lefty.

Thanks. Hopefully pretty soon he'll be comfortable back in Iowa.
I had Costas and Plesac on MLB Network, and they really kind of suck. Plesac seemed pretty happy having an opportunity to rip on the Cubs whenever he got the chance tonight.
