If Theriot could sustain the power streak, then I'm all for it. But he can't. So I'd rather he start poking singles the other way than swinging for the fences and hitting weak flyouts.

Right. That's what I'm saying. If I felt he could hit 20 homers, by all means go for it, but he won't. He <i>might </i>hit 10. He needs to go back to what he was doing before. If they try to sneak a fastball inside or there's a meatball on 3-1, turn on that and swing for the fence. However, he's doing this on pitches outside or when he's behind in the count. He's completely changed his approach at the plate, and he was a big reason we won 97 games last year.
