''When we get Zambrano back, now we've got Wells and we've got Marshall to look at, and then we'll have to make a decision,'' said Piniella, also referring to right-hander Randy Wells, who's filling in for Zambrano in the rotation. ''I like the way Wells throws the ball, so he'll be staying. So it's just a matter of where.''<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Interesting. It also would seem to verify that Lou's really the one making these calls as we figured.

A month ago I would have said this was stupid, but now I'm not so sure. We can't win with a bullpen THIS bad. Right now we have 3 pitchers (Marmol, Gregg, Guzman) we can use. Everyone else is a garbage time reliever that can't get outs and walks a million guys.
If we put Marshall in the pen, get Heilman back on track somehow and get some good innings from Ascanio then hopefully things will fall back into place.
One thing is for sure, Cotts and Snowman need to be off the roster as soon as possible. Fox took care of things for us himself at least.
