My point is that everyone was jizzing in their pants when Fontenot was hitting .260 and it has slipped since then. I'm just not convinced that he's an everyday player like everyone else thinks. He's had good streaks of play, but I don't know why he was promised the starting job other than his handedness.

Don't get me wrong -- I'm rooting my ass off for Fontenot. But everyone here is convinced he's going to outperform DeRosa. I'm not so sure.

That's my point. More or less.
