So the Cardinals are better then us because Wainwrights been pitching well, Carpenter *might* make 20 starts this year and they have about the worst pen in baseball? Oh wait they do have Colby Rasmus that young buck.

I really don't know how you're worried about them Butch. The only 3 players on that team that scare me are Pujols, Ludwick, and Carpenter (if healthy). That's it.

I'd trade Wainwright for any starting pitcher on our team -- no question, straight up.

I think Wainwright's terrific, but I'll still take the pitcher who has thrown 200 innings in 5 of the last 6 years, has an ERA under 4 in all 6 of those years, and has at least 13 wins all of those years, at least 14 in 5 of them. <b>He's also younger.</b>

Wainwright is 27. Z is 28.

I don't know if salary is a factor in the decision, but Wainwright makes $600K. Z makes $16M.
