Glad saving all that money by getting rid of DeRosa helped out. My oh my, his 15 RBIs would sure break the bank wouldn't they. Hendry has lost his mind. DeRo, Gaudin, and Vizcaino, 3 moves that make little to no sense. Is Trachsel available or something?

No, but his .224 average and .304 OBP might.
For God's sake guys, we didn't trade Albert Pujols. Mark DeRosa is a nice player. But the Cubs didn't trade him simply for the money, and it's NOT the end of the world. The move saved money. AND it got us prospects. AND it opened up 2b for a lefty who had really good numbers last year AND is younger than Dero.
It may end up a terrible move. Fontenot might end up showing us that last years numbers were a fluke. DeRosa might end up showing us that last year was NOT a fluke. But until that happens, can we please give up on the constant "we never should have traded DeRosa" moaning?

I wish that I believed in Fate. I wish I didn't sleep so late. I used to be carried in the arms of cheerleaders.
