If you hit alt-F4 it will prevent all pop-ups thereby protecting you from stuff like the rickroll.
Because I couldn't turn it off. Like with Scarey, for me it happened in the middle of the night. It was loud.
Also, I'm relearning the computer, because I've switched to an Apple. So control-alt-delete doesn't work, nor do any of the other things I used to use to defend myself against the raging asshole spammers of the world.
Apple has this thing called "force quit." Like 95% of all Apple applications, it didn't do what it said it would do. It didn't force a quit.
Also, on that exact date (April 1st), there was a worldwide virus scare that was front-page news, and even discussed at length on this site. In my sleepy, middle-of-the-night brain, addled by a horrid blast of high-decibel Astley ass-music, I thought I'd been sucked in to the virus.
There's also this: the reason most superstar ballplayers make lousy managers is the same reason why it's so hard for a computer expert like yourself to fathom why I can't easily erase any blindingly bullshit spam/virus/stupid joke that invades my computer. To you, it's as easy as Mickey Mantle hitting a fastball. To me, it's like Koyie Hill trying to hit that same fastball. It's hard, and your saying, "Dude, it's easy," is exactly like Mantle saying that to Koyie. It's easy for you. You're an expert. Not for me.
But that's why I don't hold a grudge against ColoCub. He probably just thought it was a foolish prank that would merely piss people off.

Wait, you were using a mac and you were worried about getting a windows virus?

I was trying to turn off your spam.

You're not getting it. Viruses, generally, aren't cross compatible.

If Angelo had picked McClellin, I would have been expecting to hear by training camp that kid has stage 4 cancer, is actually 5'2" 142 lbs, is a chick who played in a 7 - 0 defensive scheme who only rotated in on downs which were 3 and 34 yds + so is not expecting to play a down in the NFL until the sex change is complete and she puts on another 100 lbs. + but this is Emery's first pick so he'll get a pass with a bit of questioning. - 1060Ivy
