He was 89-93, gave up 5 runs in 4 2/3, and 3 homers.
Bradley's a machine. He was 4 for 4 today with a walk, batting over .500.
Best news of the day by far was Marmol. He looked amazing in his inning of work. Len called it the best inning they've seen pitched by anybody this spring, and kept talking about it the next inning, saying "Wow, that even got me fired up." Throwing gas and easily the best slider he's had this spring.
Shark looked good today. Brenly said his stuff's looking better each time out.
Miles had a few more hits, including a 2-run BOMB. I've seen him hit a few homers, but never that far.
Fuk Alf'd one in CF, flat out dropping a flyball with 2 outs in the bottom of the 8th. 2 Royals runs scored. Brenly then went on a rant blaming it on the WBC and Fuk's lack of work of communication with the outfielders. Reed was screaming "I got it!" and gave way to Fuk at the last second, who just dropped it.
In the 9th they faced Joakim Soria who is one of the best closers in baseball(42 of 45 last year) and hadn't allowed a run this spring. Fuk made up for his error with a 2-run homer, good to see. Bradley then scorched a double into left-center with 2 outs. Lou did something we'll likely see a lot this year then, taking Bradley out for Gathright to run. Minor leaguer Kyle Reynolds is up with a 1-2 count, rips a double down the right field line to tie it at 8-8. Played one more, that was the game.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->
I agree for the most part. I don't know that I'd say Shark looked "good", maybe "better". Guzman looked good in his first inning, then got into a bit of trouble with a couple weak singles. Waddell got one out and then Shark came in and gave up a rope before that one Fuk dropped. He looked better when he came out to start the next inning. I think he absolutely needs to start in AAA though.
I also think we'll see Waddell replacing Cotts before the all star break.
