That just shows how little confidence I have in Fuk. And Fuk is going to cost us $36 Million over the next 3 years.
Fuk!
Here's how I feel about Crosby:
Jeff (San Fran, CA): Rob- are you as blown away by I am by Crosby's hope that the A's "respect his wishes" to be traded? 1. i can't imagine any team actually wanting/needing to trade for him, and 2. he simply has not earned the right to make requests like that base on his performance (he was statistically speaking the worst offensive player in baseball last year!)
Rob Neyer: You have to feel for the guy, as he can't be expected to realize what a lousy player he's become. But if the A's could trade him for anything more than a bucket of used sunflower shells, they would have already.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Well I know how you feel about Gathright too - you want him playing most days in CF? Because that's what would happen if we didn't have Fuk around.
Sure he's a ripoff at that salary but hopefully he turns it around a bit this year and I think he will - hopefully something around .270/.370/.400 which isn't great but it's better than the alternatives we've got at this point.
