Butch, it might help you to know that earlier in the offseason I saw an article on one of the stat heavy sights that gave an actual dollar amount for the production that all of the free agents this year had put up in 2008. The value that they applied to Bradley for his production last year was $18 million.

I didn't see that article, but it sounds sort of...unscientific, for lack of a better word. What's the average player's "value?" What constitutes "production?" What is a guy like Pujols worth, dollar-wise?
