I don't know. I really wanted to like this movie more than I did, and there is so much good stuff in there, but in the end it just doesn't mesh and comes off as an unfinished product. I'm really surprised that this movie got off the ground during a sitting president's final term, and even more surprised that Stone didn't take more liberties with the story. It could have used something more. I really liked the way Stone treated Bush Sr (especially the father/son relationship or lack thereof) and Colin Powell with respect and not as one-dimensional characters, but everyone else seemed like a caricature. It seems that the vast majority of the lines are taken straight out of quotes from actual events, and some of the actors even seem as though they're reading someone else's words, not acting them out naturally. A lot of it felt devoid of any real emotion. My biggest criticism is that it just doesn't have the feel of an Oliver Stone film. Honestly, this could pass for a made-for-cable movie by any no-name director. No joke.

Anyway, I'd still recommend it, but don't expect anything outstanding. 2.5/5 stars.
