Also, check out David Lynch's movies if you haven't done so and are open to weird films. I would start with Eraserhead, then move on to stuff like Blue Velvet, Wild At Heart, Lost Highway, and Mulholland Drive.
Two older movies that you might be interested in are Network and Eyes Without a Face, which were ahead of their time, but are still fresh and original today.
