As Dirk said, we are definitely going to miss the 2008 version of Mark DeRosa. It remains to be seen if the 2009 version of DeRosa will be AS missed.

Is age 33 to age 34 some sort of magical transition? You could say this for any player, then. "Hendry fucked up when he signed Bradley because he paid for the 30 year old Bradley...but he'll turn 31 this year." It's just a weird line of thinking. Should we trade every player every year because they'll be a year older?
