I would've kept DeRosa and Pie. DeRosa is even more valuable to us now that we have Bradley than he was last year. And if we're going to sign Gathright, then why not just keep Pie. Pie's ceiling is much higher than Gathright's. They were moves that didn't need to be made -- and if you make them, then you should make sure you get something that can help you in return. I'm not seeing anything close to that.

I guess you're assuming that last year was a hiccup and he'll return to the same pitcher he was in '05-'07?
