Yeah, I thought that too, but his career is almost exactly like DeRosa's (pre-Cub)...he's really never been a full-time player, even last year.
Also, at this point, Wigginton might take less money. There's a LOT of excellent players still walking around without a contract...it's less than a month till pitchers and catchers report, and human nature being what it is, a lot of these unemployed fellows must be thinking desperation thoughts.

There's nothing better than to realize that the good things about youth don't end with youth itself. It's a matter of realizing that life can be renewed every day you get out of bed without baggage. It's tough to get there, but it's better than the dark thoughts. -Lance
