Most modern managers now bat their best hitters either 1st or 2nd. Ross has an old school mentality in a lot of ways and really doesn't know how to optimize a lineup.

No doubt. You figure he would've learned that from Maddon when he was batting KB 2nd, but Ross was apparently too set in his ways to learn or adapt. 

I really do hope they give him the boot after this season.

I like Ross and I don't think we win the WS without him on the team. I just wish he would adapt a little quicker. I wonder how much input he gets from Hoyer -- I'm getting the feeling they let him manage how he wants.

I do think we can do better than him...but I get the sense he isn't going anywhere for a while.
