Yeah, the studies out there pretty clearly show that the communication we do online (FB and the like) in place of one one one in person stuff has a negative effect on our overall well-being.
Face time and the others are maybe the best parts of the internet---my daughter was really attached to her grandparents before she even met them in person, which is kind of awesome.
And then there's porn--it's pretty well understood that it's the single most influential economic engine that has fuelled the expansion of the internet but what's not yet understood or even talked about much is how big a problem addiction to porn is going to be.
