Still prefer to see a 3 game series for Wild Cards rather than a single game.
Understand the issue regarding greater reward for divisional winner but a one game winner advances in a sport that is based on a long season doesn't ring true for me.
Logistics may provide challenges but guessing that they could be worked on. As Kid points out, the division winners still have at least 2 less games than the wild card winner with additional rest and starting rotations better aligned than the Wild Cards.
Would also look to see how many Wild Card teams have won the World Series vs Divisional winners. I'm guessing that you could make a case that the Wild Card teams get less of a disadvantage as they don't have to play more than one game and can be better rested with the current format vs Divisional winners so the advantage of winning the Division is less than some are stating they deserve.
