I'm with you on that. Short had a few funny moments on SNL a few decades ago, but he hasn't made me laugh in a long time. As far as Moranis, I thought the McKenzies were pretty funny when I was a kid, but not so much anymore.
I could get on board with the Murray idea, however. I'd like him better than Carrell.

Steve Martin hasn't made me laugh in a long time. That doesn't mean he wasn't freaking hilarious when he was doing comedies in his prime.
