He gave this game away before it started and he is managing it like he just doesn't want to win. Fuck the vets, but the message that sends to the young guys is terrible.
He is in charge of having this team ready day in and day out and leading them. Today he gave us a reason to hate him. You don't quit like this. He played his worst players and ran out his worst pitchers (after Wells went out).
Off day tomorrow, plenty of time to get Brenley or Ryno in there to show cub fans there is still baseball to be played and that this team isn't simply a bunch of overpaid quitters. My hatred for this man skyrocketed today.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->
You do realize that no matter what else is going on, you can't put your best available lineup on the field for 162 games. Sometimes you rest guys.

Tomorrow is an off day as it is. Plus, Lou has a tendency to do this, especially against a quality starter(not the case today, however). Last year against Tim Lincecum, Lou rested the farm. I get resting Lee, Byrd and Soriano. But not all on the same day. If you want to pair off days with the travel day, why not rest one or two today, and the others on Friday. I'd rather not rest nothing but power hitters, and I would have rested Theriot or Castro and spared Soriano or Byrd.

I hate my pretentious sounding username too.
