Ok, I know soccer is kind of boring to watch and hell, I rarely watch it myself, but how can you be so cynical? This is America doing something that it hasn't done since 1950- advancing to the next round of the biggest sports tournament in the world. The entire hallway where I work erupted when the goal went in. It's kind of a big fucking deal.

I haven't watched any of the World Cup, ever. I don't expect that to change this year. Unless the U.S. advances to the championship game -- then I'll probably watch the highlights on SportsCenter.
