Castro being called up?
#91
So I have an idea. I've decided that I'm done working for a living. I'm going to try and coax people to give me money under the guise of it being a sociological experiment. I'll set up a blog and post random non sequitors about God knows what and promote my blog by signing up for various forums--doesn't matter what kind as long as it's a popular topic. I'll pretend to like NASCAR, the Cubs, Sesame Street, The Misfits and WWE wrestling. I think I'll call it...Hand Bz A Euro.
If Angelo had picked McClellin, I would have been expecting to hear by training camp that kid has stage 4 cancer, is actually 5'2" 142 lbs, is a chick who played in a 7 - 0 defensive scheme who only rotated in on downs which were 3 and 34 yds + so is not expecting to play a down in the NFL until the sex change is complete and she puts on another 100 lbs. + but this is Emery's first pick so he'll get a pass with a bit of questioning. - 1060Ivy

What a clever idea. How did you think of it?

That's nice of you kid.

I think we should package Theriot, Gorzy, and Jeff Samardizja for a good back of the rotation guy and we should be in good shape.

I bet we could land Marquis with that package!

That would only work if you randomly posted shit in a forum without actively engaging in any discussions. And who would be a big enough douchebag to do that?
This is not some silly theory that's unsupported and deserves being mocked by photos of Xena. [Image: ITgoyeg.png]

Dear Rappster,

You are such a massive douchebag! And apparently you already gave Jon a dollar, or twenty.

It's exciting as hell to have a guy that we've all been reading about, and having high hopes for, come in and kick ass right away.
There's nothing better than to realize that the good things about youth don't end with youth itself. It's a matter of realizing that life can be renewed every day you get out of bed without baggage. It's tough to get there, but it's better than the dark thoughts. -Lance

While it is exciting to see Castro come up and produce, it doesn't change the fact that ARAM and Lee aren't hitting. Replacing Fontenot's .300 average with Castro's doesn't change the fact that we have offensive sink holes in our corner IF spots. It is exciting, but changes nothing IMO.

Well, you can't discount the defensive improvement, but it hasn't mattered so far. Otherwise, you are probably correct

You've seen a defensive improvement?

Small sample, blah, blah, blah but Castro's struggling at short.

I haven't seen an improvement, but I don't think anyone who has watched Theriot at all over the years would expect Castro to be worse. I'm not jumping to any conclusions just yet.

I'm not saying he won't be the best SS in the history of the game (he won't), just that he hasn't got his feet under him yet and he's not shown us an improvement at that position and anyone that says we're now better up the middle is dellusional. I think we will be but we're not yet.

Well, I guess I don't understand what the disagreement is then. He should be an upgrade at SS, just hasn't shown it yet. 3 games changes nothing in my mind.
