5/2 Cubs v. D-bags

Tracy really doesn't want to be DFA'd.

Now they cheer him even when he gets out.

O, the hypocrisy.

Maybe my favorite part about the season so far is seeing Theriot look like his 08 self at the plate. He's just raking right now.

Shit like Brenly's story just now about pinch hitting for Gracie just makes me all misty and shit.

I was at the game here last week where he was getting hit even more(like 10 hits and 10 runs in 2+). He was at 89-92 on the gun and his overall stuff was crap, just like today. Last year he wasn't quite as good as his ERA would lead you to believe, but he was still very good and at least had more velocity on his fastball. I think he might be hurt.

I didn't like that trade to begin with for them. I thought Scherzer was as good as Jackson with the ability to be a top of the rotation type with his stuff, and they gave up much more.

Indeed, Clapp. I have no idea jumped in with that trade. Maybe they felt Sherzer is too big of an injury risk? Still...

Early winners (and, yes, I know we can't really judge the winner(s) for, like, another 3 years) look like Detroit.

I don't know why they gave up on Scherzer so early. He was very highly touted as a prospect, but I guess they figured Jackson & Kennedy is better than one.

That actually isn't that stupid. Almost all ballparks face the same way and there is a league mandate about it, with the batters box facing away from the sun. So by default and coincidence RF is a sun field and the left field line points north.
