You know...how is this Zambrano to the bullpen all that different than Smoltz to the bullpen--other than the obvious (age, not closing)? Maybe, just maybe, the Cubs management may have figured out how to maximize their investment and win more games?
I'm 100% fine with this. I'm just glad there's an actual plan in place that isn't, "Let's load up on retreads and hope we get lucky." I'm a little tired of that plan.

That's unfair. When he first went to the bullpen he was throwing bbs. And I know it's different than making him a middle reliever. Besides, I'm not the guy to argue the baseball stuff with--I'm just a fan who enjoys listening to you experts talk.
