SOI ESPN Keeper League
Also, this is my first time in a keeper league. I take it that everyone picks 3 keepers and the rest get re-drafted? And how do you work a two for one deal? Do you have to wait til the draft is over?
If Angelo had picked McClellin, I would have been expecting to hear by training camp that kid has stage 4 cancer, is actually 5'2" 142 lbs, is a chick who played in a 7 - 0 defensive scheme who only rotated in on downs which were 3 and 34 yds + so is not expecting to play a down in the NFL until the sex change is complete and she puts on another 100 lbs. + but this is Emery's first pick so he'll get a pass with a bit of questioning. - 1060Ivy

Yes, the 3 keepers count as your first 3 draft picks essentially. You can trade prior to the draft. Say for example you had two awesome keepers, but no clear cut third one... you could trade one of your keepers for 2 other players that you'd keep.

But would the transaction take place after the draft? Say I want to keep Thome and Bedard. Now I don't give a fuck about the other players so I'll trade you my 3rd keeper spot (essentially my 3rd round pick) for two of your keepers? Or two of your players after you team is drafted? I don't know why this is confusing me so much.

No, it doesn't quite work that way. The keeper trades need to happen before the draft. It won't allow you to trade a keeper pick, but you can trade the players.

Sorry got really busy at work today and couldn't respond. 21st should be fine, I'm coming back from a vacation but should be back before the start time.

A couple of things:

1. I noticed that about half of the teams have not set keepers yet. You have two weeks to set your keepers. The 2010 Keeper Lock Date is Wednesday, March 17 @ 5PM ET.

2. If for any reason you can't make the draft, ESPN has a sweet new feature where you can edit your "autodraft strategy". Pretty cool, check it out.

How do we take care of payment?

I'll post it when I get a chance. Probably not today, have too much going on to deal with it.

i'm usually prompt and reliable with payments but i may have to wait until we get our tax money this year.
Life is a bitch, but she's totally doable.

There are still 5 teams that haven't set their keepers. The deadline is Wednesday at 5PM EST.

If they aren't set then they just get to redraft them in the rounds before everyone else correct? If I set 3 keepers then those players are essentially my 1st-3rd round picks. If I don't set any then I get to draft whoever is available in round 1-3, right?
