Jason Bay
#1
It is a damn shame that we have so much money invested in Soriano, Bradley, and Fuk because I would LOVE to have Jason Bay on this team. Is there anyway the Cubs could have interest in him? Obviously the first step would be moving Bradley, but would the Cubs be able to pony up the 17-20 million a year he is going to cost?

He's a great player, and very consistent. However, he's an example of someone that will get overpaid. We won't open our coffers for the amount of money he will command.

I'd rather go after Holliday if we're going to pony up some dough for an outfielder.

If we had a DH spot I'd be all for Bay. Of course, then he and Soriano would split time there.

He's younger.

And he's already embarrassed himself in the postseason once, so it would be a perfect match.
