MLB News & Notes (other than Cubs or Sox)
<!--quoteo-->QUOTE <!--quotec-->RHP Stephen Strasburg made what will likely be his penultimate rehab start Saturday, throwing five perfect innings before giving up two hits at Class AAA Syracuse (N.Y.). Strasburg struck out seven batters, and hit 98 mph on the radar gun. He will likely head to the majors after one more rehab start Thursday.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->
I hate my pretentious sounding username too.

I'm looking forward to his comeback. He's a lot of fun to watch.

Giants DFA's Rowand and Tejada or $18.5 MM of non/under performing players.

Didn't realize that Rowand was the second highest paid player on the squad.

Giants fans were booing Rowand and Beltran last night. Man...not even a year removed from a World Series and they're booing? It's hard to imagine Cubs fans booing the season after a World Series, isn't it? I feel like the team would get a lifetime pass with me.

Fans of other teams boo? I thought it was just dumb Cub fans.

Wow I didn't realize Ellsbury has an .891 OPS this season.

Fuck Reggie Miller too.

I liked the part where he got halfway up and fell again.

It would have been better if he broke his nose or his vagina.

It's going to be interesting to see what Selig does with this protest of the Phillies/Marlins game. It appears that the umpires improperly reviewed a play and I'm not sure calling a batter out is within their power when they do use replay. A protest hasn't been upheld in 25 years.
This is not some silly theory that's unsupported and deserves being mocked by photos of Xena.  [Image: ITgoyeg.png]

I was thinking the same thing, they used the review under the guise of checking to see if it was a home run or not, and then ruled fan interference. Even though it was the correct call I was under the impression you couldn't review that call.

I'm at the point now that I wish they would get rid of all replays in all sports.
