I'd go with Roy. Romo's been throwing the ball great lately.

So was Forte. That really has nothing to do with their current value.

Turner has more TD's, but this is a PPR and Slaton has a ton of catches. Turner has 7 TD's and Slaton has 5, so to me Slaton would be more valuable. Am I giving up too much for him?

That's what I was thinking. What do you think of this proposed deal?

Ahhh... I can't really speak to their PPR values, but in traditional scoring Turner has had a better year (he's 11th and Slaton is 13th). I could see Slaton being the significantly better player in PPR, so I guess the deal is OK.
Reply
If this deal goes through my team will look like this.

QB - Kurt Warner
WR - Randy Moss
WR - Vincent Jackson
WR - 85
RB - Cedric Benson
RB - Steve Slaton
TE - Todd Heap
K - Ryan Lindell
DEF - Arizona

I think I'll be set up pretty well for a playoff push.

I'm not sure. I'd have to evaluate the Texans and Falcons remaining schedule. My initial thought is that the offer is fairly equal. I don't think you'd improve or hurt your team much by making this trade. Maclin is proabably just a bench player (near worthless) for you and your trade partner.

I have Slaton in one of my leagues... the fumbles scare me. He's been solid, but Kubiak doesn't seem to be too thrilled with him, and seems to want to get Chris Brown involved. It seems like Slaton's averaging something like 1.5 fumbles a game... ugly. I'd get rid of him if I could get fair value, but I'm not sure that I can.

Still not sure what to do on Garrard vs. Flacco. Garrard did have a great game against Tenn. once already this season, but otherwise he's really done squat this year. And Flacco against Denver isn't a very good matchup either.

Here's another one - Ronnie Brown or Thomas Jones? They go head to head this week.

I'm in a standard non-PPR league. We start 2 RBs and 2 WRs, no flex.

My RB Stable (emphasis on the horse manure):

Barber
Forte
Washington (RIP)
Bradshaw
Felix Jones

My WR situation is slightly more pleasant:

Vincent Jackson (BEAST!)
Chad Ochocinco
Anquan Boldin
Steve Breaston
Johnny Knox

I'm thinking of offering Forte + 1 or 2 of Boldin/Breaston/Knox for Ced Benson and Antonio Bryant.

His situation -

RB:

MJD
Slaton
Benson
Julius Jones

WR:

Steve Smith (NYG)
Rice
Mason
Henderson
Meachem

My questions to you guys are:

a ) Or either one of us be getting screwed? (I'm a fantasy novice)

b ) What should my exact package be? (Forte and Bryant are musts simply to trade busts)

c ) Would you pull the trigger if you're the other guy?

Also, his QBs are Rodgers and Flacco and mine are Cutler and Orton...should I try swapping Flacco for Cutler (can't stand the inconsistency)?
There's no way you get Flacco for Cutler. I might do Flacco for Cutler and one of those receivers. Maybe.

Yeah, but most of the guys in this league are a bigger idiot than me. I mean, someone took Jamal Lewis in the FIRST round, for christsakes. But, OK, we'll keep Flacco and Cutler out of it. Any other ideas for a trade? I need RB help badly. About as bad as I need a cock.

I would offer Forte and Boldin for Benson and see what happens.

I would rather have Forte and Boldin.

You do realize that Benson is the NFL's leading rusher right? In my PPR league Boldin has 61 points and Forte has 57. Combined they have 2 TD's. Benson has scored 97 points and has 5 TD's.

Not to mention that Boldin has a high ankle sprain and won't be fully healthy for a few more weeks.

Yes. I believe it's called selling high (Benson) and buying low (Boldin and Forte). Going forward, I expect Forte and Benson to have near equivalent value. Thus, Boldin is the bonus.

What makes you think that Benson can't do this all year and Forte won't continue his slide into fantasy obscurity? I know it's not their schedules. Is this just a gut feeling Dusty?

Benson's remaining schedule and rushing YPG
Baltimore 91.2
@Pittsburgh 76.6
@Oakland 169.7*
Cleveland 170.6*
Detroit 112.3*
@Minnesota 95.4
@San Diego 137.7*
Kansas City 131.0*
@Jets 116.1*

I put * on the games that I believe should be very productive days for them. Didn't Benson break Baltimore's 100 yard rush against streak? He's proven he can do it against good defenses. Forte hasn't really done anything and with Chicago's terrible offensive line I'm not sure he's gonna be doing much of anything this season.

Forte's remaining schedule and rushing YPG
Cleveland 170.6*
Arizona 67.5
@San Francisco 88.8
Philadelphia 96.8
@Minnesota 95.4
St. Louis 135.9*
Green Bay 97.5
@ Baltimore 91.2
Minnesota 95.4*
@Detroit 112.3*

I admit this was a very rudimentary study, but I think Benson has the easier schedule by far, and that's without mentioning that he (unlike Forte) has actually looked like he belongs in the NFL this year.

Oh yeah, and Boldin has a high ankle sprain and that shit takes a while to heal. Yes, I know he's playing but he looked terribly slow against the Giants on Monday so he's not gonna be an impact guy like normal. He'll get his 5 or 6 catches a game but it's not gonna be for the yards we're used to him getting. He could be a TD threat though, I'm not really sure yet.

Yeah, that sounds like a good plan, Mikey, though keep an eye out for news on Jackson's foot injury. If it sounds like it may give him trouble, I'd replace him with Hester (vs. Browns).
