Bradley
Not sure if it's been mentioned in any of the articles posted here as I haven't read them all word for word, but the guys at ESPN's Baseball Today podcast said that Bradley got in a shouting match with Von Joshua on Saturday and an anonymous cubs player said the clubhouse is now the most relaxed it's been all season now that Bradley is gone.

They sure seem to be playing better without him. And the camera shots of the dugout last night gave the impression of a tight-knit group of guys. I never thought one guy could be such a distraction, but I guess I was wrong.

Von Joshua is clearly a racist.
Some men are born mediocre, some men achieve mediocrity, and some men have mediocrity thrust upon them.

<!--quoteo-->QUOTE <!--quotec-->Milton Bradley's mother: he felt hatred from Chicago Cubs fans

Milton Bradley was unavailable for comment Monday, telling his mother he had conducted his last interview with Chicago media. "There is more behind the scenes that bothered Milton and made him uncomfortable in Chicago," she said. Pressed, Rector wouldn't give details to verify her claims. She only offered that it involved Bradley's 3-year-old son facing racial slurs at about the same time Bradley was complaining about what he considered a racist element of Cubs fans. "Milton called me," Rector said, "and said, 'It's bad enough what I am going through, but I can take it and go to the ballpark and pray games don't last any more than nine innings. But my son?' " Hearing Bradley's mother staunchly defend him made one thing clear: Real or imagined, racial tension has wound Bradley tightly since the Wrigley Field home opener, when the pressure of replacing Mark DeRosa began to mount. "He told me he could feel the hatred from fans and he didn't have anything to do with them trading DeRosa, but he got the abuse anyway," Rector said. -- Chicago Tribune .....Ben's Take: Milton gets out of bed and feels hatred. Does he have bad luck with people, or is he really the problem?<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->

Amateur psychological opinion: this stuff started in childhood. If she was defending his bad behavior as a child as she is now as an adult, it may explain some of the reasons why he doesn't see that he is the problem.
I'm 100% fine with this. I'm just glad there's an actual plan in place that isn't, "Let's load up on retreads and hope we get lucky." I'm a little tired of that plan.

i just don't believe cub fans were hating him from day one. i just don't see it. most cub fans i know were hoping for great things from him. i was glad to have him here and i think most people were too.

i realize that cub fans are the most racist people in the history of the world, right up there with nazi's and the klan, but are we to believe they were throwing racial slurs at a three year old kid? come on. when does this stop? when does common sense take over?

What an asshole. Let's use our children as human shields now when you can no longer defend yourself and when no one is willing to come to your aid. How very Dusty-like. This guy will never be happy no matter where he ends up. Hopefully, it's Japan.

Our right fielder replaced DeRosa?

This just keeps getting nuttier.

I'm trying to imagine a scenario where Bradley's son had any interactions with Cubs fans. And then Cubs fans hurling racial slurs at the three year old boy. I can't picture it. If this actually happened somehow, them Cubs fans ARE the most racist people on the planet. I'm just having a hard time picturing it.

Sounds to me like Bradley is just trying to gain sympathy at this point. He acts like an asshole and then expects everyone to feel sorry for him. Lame.

And this whole racist thing is just a scapegoat excuse. Cubs fans are booing him because he's sucked most of the season and he's been an ass. When Cubs fans boo Miles, it's not because they hate white people And when Derrek Lee gets cheered, it has nothing to do with his skin color. It's because he's getting the job done and he's a nice guy, while Bradley has failed in both areas.

Yeah...but it's such a crazy thing to say. Why on earth would anyone make something like that up? It's detrimental to people who actually suffer from bigotry.
