Ha! I just now remembered this one. It was directed by Wes Craven. There was a great scene where Kristy Swanson threw a basketball at Anne Ramsey, and it knocked her head off. It was great.

The coolest thing about that movie was all the marketing the studio did for it on TV, billboards and radio. Very effective. I wanted to see it so badly when it first came out, I was obsessed. That said, the movie never lived up to the hype and was kind of a dud. It was just ok IMO. I'd like to see it again though, as its been almost 20 years for me.

Wow, thanks for the link. It's even more corny than how I remember it.

Yeah, her head exploded like a ketchup-filled balloon before the ball even touched her. That made my day!

That scene is freaking awesome. And who is the hot lefty blonde?
There's nothing better than to realize that the good things about youth don't end with youth itself. It's a matter of realizing that life can be renewed every day you get out of bed without baggage. It's tough to get there, but it's better than the dark thoughts. -Lance

there should have been a foul called on that play. the ball was clearly thrown at her face on purpose.

Speaking of time travel movies, has anyone seen Primer? It's extremely low-budget, and dialogue-heavy, but also quite good. Won the grand jury prize at Sundance a few years ago. Definitely worth a rental if you want a movie that messes with your head.

Yep, saw it a year or so ago, and liked it a lot. It took me a few days to make sense of it all, and also had to stop and rewind it a few times, but it's a very well made movie for such a low budget. The movie evolves from the beginning to the end in a good way. I totally didn't see the ending coming either.
Timecrimes is another good time travel movie that I watched this year. I know there was a thread for it, but this seems like a good time to pimp that one.

I think he was referring to Primer, and yes, that was it.
