Why was Bradley taking his warmup swings RH when he's batting LH?

This booing of Bradley is fucking ludacris. He grounded out in the first inning for God's sake. Sometimes I'm ashamed to be a Cubs fan, these people are fucking retards.

Nice to have Blanco's defense back at least.

Amazing catch by Blanco. I want him at short in '10. Theriot wouldn't be able to make that catch if he rubbed a lamp and got 3 wishes.

I love Blanco's glove, but no way I want him starting for this team next year. When offense is the problem, you can't afford to have him playing every day.
The thing you need to remember is that all Cardinals fans and all White Sox fans are very bad people. It's a fact that has been scientifically proven beyond a shadow of a doubt. Being a Cubs fan is the only path to rightousness and piousness. Cardinal and White Sox fans exist to be the dark, diabolical forces that oppose us. They are the yin to our yang, the Joker to our Batman, the demon to our angel, the insurgence to our freedom, the oil to our water, the club to our baby seal. Their happiness occurs only in direct conflict with everything that is pure and good in this world.

See, that's the thing Giff. I think defense up the middle is just as important as quality hitting. I would gladly sacrifice 50 points in average for the difference in Theriot and Blanco. And we'd be moving Theriot to 2B, so we'd really be replacing Blanco's bat with what we've had at 2B this year.

But I'd rather have someone that is great at SS and has some prowess at the plate. The problem is that those guys are expensive and we don't have very much cash to spend due to our future commitments.

Bradley broke his bat on the play which slowed the ball through the infield si he had a decent chance of beating the throw. Unfortunately, he took 3 steps toward first and gave up.

Yeah...nobody else does that...

He gets booed for everything he does, this was just todays example.

Lack of hustle...such as giving up on a ball hit in the infield...well...everyone guilty of that should be booed.

Normally I would agree with you, however the problem all season has been scoring runs. Defense from the middle infield obviously hasn't been anything special, but it hasn't been a reason at all why this team has struggled. And as bad as 2nd base has been offensively, replacing that would Blanco would be even worse. If I was convinced this offense would go back to performing like 2008, with Ramirez, Soto, Soriano, Bradley, and Fuk all being big contributors, then I would love to see Blanco at short everyday. And I've said it numerous times, if he got a chance to play everyday, he would win a Gold Glove.
The thing you need to remember is that all Cardinals fans and all White Sox fans are very bad people. It's a fact that has been scientifically proven beyond a shadow of a doubt. Keep Theriot and move him to 2B, then upgrade SS both offensively and defensively any way you can. Hopefully Ricketts can at least approve 1 upgrade at the position player level. Otherwise, I don't see the rest of the everyday lineup changing much, nor should it if people revert to their career averages next season.

Blanco would be a fine backup. Leave him in that role.
