And even though we face old man Pedro, it's a game with Shark starting. We very well could get swept in this series, while the cock biters are playing the Reds. If we win two of three against the Phils, I'll do cartwheels, with a weekend series against the Pirates coming up.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->
And they also have to face Harden, who just allowed 1 run in 7 innings against them recently. We've already beaten Cliff Lee this year at Wrigley. I'm not gonna predict we win this series, but it's a toss up to me. We're a different team at home. Plus, the Phillies have lost 3 in a row and 6 of their last 8, so it's not like they're rolling right now.

Who knows, maybe we stink up the joint again, but I have a feeling we have a nice little week before heading back out west. I hope at least.

We're blah on the road, just like we were last year, and the Cards have about the easiest schedule possible during this stretch. We have another tough series coming up against Philly. Just gotta hang in there. The weak part of our schedule comes up after next week and we're going to make a run.

I said 4-6 on this trip most likely and the Cards would go about 8-2. They went 7-3 actually. We're fortunate to be where we're at, especially when you consider we get injuries every freaking day it seems.

We're going to be just 2 back in the loss column, which is what you should be looking at this time of year, especially when you consider we finish with 6 against the Diamonbacks and Pirates at home.

Anyway, this game sucked to be at, and this is why I HATE going to the fucking games and why you won't see me back at Wrigley anytime soon.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->

Good post.

I'm glad I've been on vacation these last couple weeks and haven't been able to watch any games. I'm hoping when I get back next week, we'll be winning again.

The Cards seem unbeatable right now, but they're playing lousy teams, so that distorts their image a bit at least.

The "sky is falling" sentiment has as much to do with this rash of injuries and bad luck as it does the incredibly shitty baseball we've witnessed. It just gives you that "here we go again" feeling.

I'm not in the "sky is falling" camp. I just think it has already permanently fallen for us. We'll probably stay in the race for the remainder of the season, but I won't get suckered into believing that we have a chance at anything should we be lucky enough to secure a playoff spot. This team has provided me with so very little to be happy with on a daily basis, and I'm actually looking forward to the Bears season right now and not October more and more with each passing day.

This sums up how I am starting to feel...
