I don't like the song Go Cubs Go. The song is bad, the lyrics are bad, it's just not good. I don't like that they play it after the Cubs win and the lyrics are "The Cubs are gonna win today." Guess what? They already won, the song doesn't make sense when played after the winning has already occurred. Maybe I'm alone on this, but I wouldn't mind not hearing it ever again.

Did I just insult someone I didn't even know existed? I guess when you're good, you're good.

I guess I'm just of an age that having Steve Goodman there in spirit after every win means a lot to me. I grew up with his music and saw him perform several times.
There's nothing great about that song at all...but it's from the heart form a die-hard fan and I'm very happy to hear it after each win.

Oh I love when it's played, because that means we won. I would love listening to Fran Drescher sing a Backstreet Boys song at the end of the game if that meant we won.

Yeah, it's a piece of shit....if they get rid of that, and 7th inning guests, I will enjoy games more.

It doesn't bother me that much, but I liked it better when they used to play it BEFORE games on the radio, and not after. If it wasn't so corny/catchy and if it wasn't associated with a W, then I'd probably hate it more than cancer.

I still expect to hear "Jump" before The Leadoff Man.

I hate that fucking song. It's the gayest post game tradition ever.

My uncle lives 2 blocks from Wrigley. Sunday I went there with my family. Late in the game, I called my 5 year old daughter out onto the balcony which faces Wrigley, as there was 2 outs. The game was on in my uncle's condo, but I wanted my daughter to watch the game end, and hear the stadium sing "Go Cubs Go". I figure she was unaware of that tradition, as she has been to one game, but the Cubs lost.
The game ends, I tell my daugther to listen. She sits there for a second, hears the crowd singing from 2 blocks away, and immediately says to me "I've got to go inside. I love this song and I want to hear it on TV". I then watched her, by herself, sing and dance by her lonesome, to this song.
I now like this song.
I wish that I believed in Fate. I wish I didn't sleep so late. I used to be carried in the arms of cheerleaders.

Yep. It's not going to be on my iPhone, but when I hear it on TV, it's great.
This is not some silly theory that's unsupported and deserves being mocked by photos of Xena.
