Cubs/Nationals 7/19
#46
We have Lilly, Harden and Zambrano starting against Lopez,Blanton and Moyer. I would be really surprised if we don't win at least one, if not two out of the three against the Phillies.

I'll take 2/3 but certainly do not expect it.

Yep, this. If we somehow find a way to sweep, I'll start giving out BJs at next year's SOITOW.

1 of 2 would be great, 2 of 3 superb, sweep our best road trip in a longass time. Even if we get swept, it's a winning road trip and better than the 3 of 7 I hoped for coming in.

And we took 1 of 3 there last year, just like Washington.

At least for 1 day, the Cubs are alone in 2nd.

Next series:
St. Louis v Houston
Milwaukee v Pittsburgh
Cincinnati v LA Dodgers

Brewers have absolutely owned the Pirates the last 2 years. Houston is hot and could take the series from the Cardinals. We'll see. Reds should have their hands full with the Dodgers.

We'll see where we stand on Thursday.
I got nothin'.

I know that you can never count on a sweep, especially in a four game series on the road, but this was one that we needed to take advantage of to get our road record back in order. Nicely done.
