On a contending team, Lannan wasn't in the game to face Reed. They were trying to let Lannan get 1 more out and get a chance for a win, but Reed is a significantly better hitter against lefties.

Most teams usually do against their pen. Will we? I wouldn't bet on us getting a run in 2 innings these days. Solid job against Lannan though who beat us twice last year and came in 3-0 with a 2.20 ERA at home this year. 3 runs is tied for the most he's allowed in a home start in 10 starts. 2 2-out hits are a pleasant surprise.

And nice job by Jizzman, that last breaking ball was pure filth.
