Absolutley, I think it's a no brainer. Anyone who wouldn't seems to think paying Soriano $18M for the next 5.5 seasons is a good idea. Dude is an awful fielder, streaky hitter. I'd rather find someone else who can hit 30 HRs and do nothing else for much cheaper. I cannot fathom why someone wouldn't want him and his contract gone.
