That doesn't make me feel any better. We're mediocre, bordering on shitty. Even if we manage to suck less than the Cards and Brewers by season's end, we aren't going far.

Right now, I certainly agree. This team blows. But I'm still holding out hope that Soriano can get hot and Ramirez can do some damage when he comes back. I know it's unlikely we'll do anything in the playoffs if we even make it that far, but maybe we can at least win the division. I'm certainly not going to bet the farm on it though.

Just keep in mind, I'm guessing the Cardinals fans were thinking the same thing in 2006, and we were so confident the last two seasons heading into the playoffs. If we can manage to suck less than the Cards and Brewers, anything can happen.
