fixed.
<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Yeah, that's what killed me, the Hendry contract. You pay a guy like that league minimum ($350 K at the time), and dangle the carrot of "if you kick ass, we'll let you suit up again next year too." No more, no less. It's not Neifi's fault that Dusty was clueless enough to give him 600 PA's in the 2-hole, or that Jim was stupid enough to say "We're going to overpay you by a factor of 15 times what you're worth."
There's nothing better than to realize that the good things about youth don't end with youth itself. It's a matter of realizing that life can be renewed every day you get out of bed without baggage. It's tough to get there, but it's better than the dark thoughts. -Lance

I wish that I believed in Fate. I wish I didn't sleep so late. I used to be carried in the arms of cheerleaders.

Harden is never going to be much of anything. Add him to the list of current players who I hate.

It's one of those things that you want to point to as a turning point, but I'm just want to win tomorrow before I worry about the rest of the season. One game at a time.
I got nothin'.

One game at a time always. I hope that this is a turning point. This team certainly needed a wake-up and hopefully they have found it. This team has been dull, annoying, and hard to watch. I'm certainly not a fair-weather fan, but it's been difficult to keep interest. Comeback wins are always a thrill and having two great ones in a row are exciting as hell. I hope this continues. Winters are long and the wait for baseball season at times seems endless. I don't want to waste this summer. It would be nice to at least be entertained by this club.

These were two great games, but after watching the highlights of the 10th inning that was such a horseshoe up the ass win. I want to see us score some runs before the 8th inning. I'd like to see a few games that would be under control from bell to bell. I still don't have that feeling of confidence. I want a run of flawless games where the other team has no chance of winning.

You know what's nuts? I gave up on both games. Thursday's game was in the 5th or so when I was leaving work to go to the gym, I didn't find out the Cubs had comeback until I was listening to ESPN radio on the way home. Yesterday, I listened to the game until it was 7-1, said fuck this, came home and didn't bother checking the score until this morning. I might have to start watching the Cubs again if this is what it's going to be like.

we need a good hitting coach,last year we were patient this year we swing at everything,i believe we are last in walks this year.Hell Jim Kaat could strikeout our starters with his famous blooper pitch.

The thing that amazes me more than anything is that for this entire year I think we can all agree we have played shittastically...however, we are only 2.5 games out of first. God help this division if the Cubs get their heads out of their asses for the rest of the season. These last 3 games are nice, but I would like to see some easy wins.
