The notion that the Cubs pen has been a problem over the last month and half is baffling to me.

It hasn't been any longer. Especially when you factor in the ridiculous number of extra innings games over the past few weeks, they've done everything we could ask them. If our nonexistent offense could just score a few runs once in a blue moon, the bullpen would be looked upon as heroes right now.

Last report was that Pedro was looking for $5 MM for a season. Hopefully, that would be pro-rated.

Could a Pedro scouting be in anticipation of moving a starter (Wells, Marshall,Harden) for a bat makes a nice rumor but who knows?

I think the main reason the bullpen is not a problem, is because the starters are going so deep. When the pen wasn't doing as well, I thought it was because the starters were not pitching enough innings.

I have a feeling you're directing this at me after our "disagreement" last week. That's easy to say after the way they've pitched the last week.

6/11- 5.2IP, 1ER; L
6/10- 0.1IP, 1ER; L
6/9- 2.1IP, 1ER
6/7- 7.1IP, 1ER; Blown Save/ W
6/6- 4.1IP, 1ER; L
6/5- 2.1IP, 1ER; Hold/ Save
6/3- 4.0 IP, 0ER; W/ Save

Despite some mediocre performances like 6/9 and 6/10, they've had a very good week. I wouldn't say they "haven't been a problem" prior to this stretch.

Hendry's thinking is incredible...this offense is AAA caliber, at best, and he feels the need to throw time and money at chasing Pedro? A guy who doesn't make us markedly better and is coming off of injuries? Wow.
