Cubs @ Astros 06/11/09

How many times are Cubs fans going to endure that freakin' reply over the next 24 hours?

At least, Brenly is already talking about what time the Cubs plane is going to land this evening and the starters for the next series.

It's a 1 - 0 game in the 7th and nobody has any faith in the Cubs ability to score 1 run.

Is Valverde still on the DL?

Not like it matters though. They could trot out Dan Wheeler in the 9th and he'd still shut us down

I just feel bad for Demp. He pitched just about as well as Z did last night, but Demp is gona get an L to show for it.

We have Reed, Bradley and Soto on the bench and for our 8th inning pinch hit AB Lou uses Miles.... awesome.

Glad we were able to PH with Miles there. Aaron did hit the ball past the pitcher. I'm certain if the second baseman didn't catch it, the ball could have rolled at least another 60 feet.

Why do we need Blanco, Miles and Scales on this team?

Oh yeah, so Fox can beef up his stats in AAA.

Seriously? You can't score one run off of Russ Ortiz? I can't believe we have the best starting rotation ERA in baseball and we're barely over .500.

I hate Miles.

4 runs on 17 hits in 3 full games this series for Astros and they won 2 of 3.

Our starting pitchers have a combined ERA under 1.50 so far this month and they have 2 wins in 9 games.

We may as well have our AA team on offense, wouldn't be any different.

Our only hope for a win:
LaTroy Hawkins

As much as I love thinking about BT & KW in the toilet, I think its time for a new quote of the week.
I like you guys a lot.

Could today be the first Cubs game that I see in which LaTroy doesn't give up a run?

Brenly provides the ultimate jinx - LaTroy with the lowest ERA in the majors.

No clue as to what time frame that Brenly is referring to here but that's what I thought he said.
