So if we had a Cardinals fan that was a member here, we wouldn't want to talk bad about the Cardinals either? I think venting frustrations about the teams we lose to just goes with the territory. I'm sure Dodgers fans get pissed and rant about the Cubs on their forums when we beat them, so I don't think they should be shocked or offended when we do it here. If they do, then I think they would be expecting a bit much because just about every passionate sports fan gets pissed at the team that beats their team. It's just the way it goes. I wouldn't expect Dodgers fans to ease up on what they say simply because I was a member of their forum. If I'm going to venture out of the friendly confines, then I have to be willing to take some heat and not try to make their forum into another friendly confines, if you catch my drift.

I'm not trying to be insensitive to Gad, but I also don't think it's fair to Destined either to lay a guilt trip on him for venting his frustrations, I mean, the dude is from LA: of course he's going to get pissed when the Dodgers beat the Cubs, especially when some Dodgers fans vandalized his van last year after a game...

To be clear, I do think that it would be a slightly different story if there was trashing of Dodger fans seeing as we have had an extremely cool one as a long time member of our community. However, I think the trashing of the team/owner/manager/bat girl is fair game.

But he has trashed the fans, many times, it goes far beyond him just getting pissed at them for beating us. He had made comments about every part of their organization from racial remarks about their fans to "fagger dogs" and everything else. Its also been talked about in other threads and it hasn't stopped. That's why Clapp responded the way he did.

Also for Jeffy, I know you are fairly new and probably don't know Gad, but he isn't just some random fan of an opposing team who comes trolling here. He has been a member of this community for 4 years and is good friends with a lot of people here. He has rolled with the Dodger ribbing and "ban Gad" comments for a long time when we played the Dodgers and never had a problem.

All we're saying is in a close group of friends like this is would be cool if Destined would at least tone it down a bit, especially when we aren't playing the Dodgers.
