That would be awesome. The last time I actually loved Dusty Baker as a manager was when he started screaming at LaRussa in the other dugout. Too bad Lou has known LaRussa since Pony league. I don't see a feud going too far.

QUOTE There were only two sides to this argument over a called strike, which resulted in Bradley receiving a two-game suspension, a penalty that Bradley is appealing. If the Cubs were supporting Bradley, they were criticizing the umpire. St. Louis manager Tony La Russa, always on the alert for any sort of edge, wondered publicly how the Cubs could get away with making some of these critical comments about the umpires.

Piniella said he had not read La Russa's specific comments, but he added these thoughts with a smile:

"Tony's a good friend and a heck of a manager, but he's not the commissioner of baseball. Not yet, anyway."

Is LaRussa waging an all out effort to become the least popular human in the greater Chicagoland area? What a dick.
There's nothing better than to realize that the good things about youth don't end with youth itself. It's a matter of realizing that life can be renewed every day you get out of bed without baggage. It's tough to get there, but it's better than the dark thoughts. -Lance

I heard boo birds in the 9th. And so did Bradley.
I'm 100% fine with this. I'm just glad there's an actual plan in place that isn't, "Let's load up on retreads and hope we get lucky." I'm a little tired of that plan.

I was just thinking earlier, if Milton doesn't turn things around soon, the relationship between he and the fans may be irreversibly broken. I know he isn't healthy, but some of his decisions are highly questionable.

He should drop his appeal and take the suspension right now because he is useless to us right now. He can't run at all. I wouldn't even mind seeing him put on the DL.

I'm very concerned about Bradley as a Cub going forward. I really hope he starts hitting, or it's going to get ugly.

Yeah, I couldn't have imagined a worse possible scenario for him to begin his career here. This is troubling, even when you consider his history.

i'm starting to hate bradley. how many called third strikes can a player take? it's as if he's looking to walk almost every time up. i'm starting to long for the days of strap.

Milton has got to realize that he is not going to get the benefit of the doubt on a close pitch.
